Statistics: Russia’s deflation at 0.01% in July 13–Monday

MOSCOW, Jul 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price deflation amounted to 0.01% from July 13 to Monday after inflation of 0.06% in the previous week, and reached 4.59% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said late on Wednesday.

Prices for sugar went up 0.14%, for sunflower oil grew by 0.16%, for poultry by 0.08%, for buckwheat by 0.38%, and for vermicelli by 0.07%, while the prices for chicken eggs decreased by 0.3%.

Prices for fruit and vegetables decreased by 2.1% on average, with potato prices falling by 6.2%, tomato and cucumber prices by 5.4%, carrot prices by 3.8%, and onion prices by 2.4%. But prices for cabbage rose by 2.4% and for apples by 0.4%.

Gasoline prices increased by 0.2% and diesel fuel prices by 0.1%.
